The CRE Stream1 team has been working with and providing in-kind support to the Sunshine Coast Clinical Research Network (SCCRN). The SCCRN is based at the Sunshine Coast and Gympie Region of Southern Queensland. It comprises general practitioners, practice nurses, practice managers, allied health practitioners, and academics from the Discipline of General Practice and APHCRI Centre of Research Excellence in Primary Health Care Microsystems at the University of Queensland.  The network is coordinated by Focus Health Network and receives support from the Sunshine Coast Medicare Local.  The purpose is to build primary care research knowledge locally and increase involvement of practice based clinicians in research relevant to their practice and region.
